Most students marched around St Augustine, especially when MLK came to town. They also protested about the funding of schools how West Augustine got nothing while everywhere else within the county had better-funded schools. Some students were arrested during the protesting. Many students had to walk at the opposite side of the road of a restaurant because they would get stuff thrown at them like rocks or empty bottles.
